Hello and Welcome!

 
I am Debbie and I am an author based in the Philippines. 

I live with my husband and two children, 

who inspire me to write. 

I write because I want to remember. 

Remember when my child walked around the garden, saw the moon following her, and declared she was the moon’s favorite. 

Remember when I was a child and looked in amazement at my grandmother’s cabinet, wondering what was inside it. 

Remember when the world was on lockdown and we stayed home, not knowing what would happen yet hopeful we would make it through together. 

Remember mornings when the pink and yellow gumamelas outside our window bloomed in their beautiful fullness. 

Remember the funny things children say 

and their curious questions.

Remember when we took turns telling bedtime stories, 

one of my stories about a confused slime…

In the remembrance of these moments I am filled with gratitude and grace for the gifts of love, family, and friendship.

And with a thankful heart I write these stories of the everyday and the ordinary made special.
